Catwalk

Our Portsmouth Uni fashion show was on friday night! It went amazingly thanks to all of us organised students and great models that helped us out. Here are a few pics of my three garments going down the catwalk!

Photoshoot

Backstage at my photoshoot! Yesterday i had a shoot to show off two on my final garments that i made using my prints. The tighter dress is made using neoprene, a fabric i haven't worked with before but it helped make the fit really smooth as its thick and stretchy! The flowy maxi dress is made with crepe de chine, a really summery fabric to go with the summery prints! The model was really awesome and fitted the clothes really well. Final shots will follow shortly!

Boards

So its been over a month sine my last post! Wow my final major project is over now i can't believe it. I never got round to putting a lot of the designs that are in my final line up on here so thought id share my boards of the final outcomes!

These came from creating 3D shapes with my stretched sky. The bottom design is a bit too typical planet scene-ey to match any of my collection. However the first is much more interesting to me with the large in your face circles. Plus i love creating 3D looking designs.

Cloud fun

Alongside my new obsession with buildings and lights I've taken up another strand for my collection - clouds! i like the abstract stretched designs, the soft fuzzy edges contrast well with my clean cut buildings. Whereas the cloud cones have the contrast of soft and sharp all by themselves. As well as looking a bit odd...but in a good way.
